Your credit card debts totally written off

I am here to tell you that I have successfuly managed to get some of my credit card debts wiped totally clean. Some of the credit card companies do not have the original agreement which I signed at the time, of if they do, they are so illegible that they can't be read. If the original contract was shredded but a copy kept on microfiche years ago and you can't read the small print, it is unenforceable.
This means that they do not have a contract with you subject to the CC act 1974. Basically they cannnot enforce you to pay another single penny and the balance is wiped clean.
There is a lot of information on other forums on this subject, but not much here.

Maybe theres more info on other forums as this is a money SAVING site rather than a site that encourages people not to pay back money that they have spent.0

There are already a few large threads regarding CCA requests and updates. I'd copy them in this reply, but don't know how to!!0

Get off your high-horse! What about those who would love to pay off their debts but due to circumstances beyond their control (applies to me as well) and knowing full well they have been ripped off by their lenders, they would jump at the chance of any retribution.DaisyFlower wrote: »Maybe theres more info on other forums as this is a money SAVING site rather than a site that encourages people not to pay back money that they have spent.0

So it is 'ripping you off' when they lend you money which you spend and then don't intend to pay back. Sounds more like the boot is on the other foot and it is you doing the 'ripping off'. Sounds like stealing to me.0 -
I think what Zombie is talking about here is the CCA requests that we have spoken about on the boards. although no one would avocate avoiding your responsibilities at all he/she is correct n saying that if the original credit agreement can't be provided then a debt cannot legally be pursued.debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0

I don't mind paying back the money I owe. What I do object to is having to pay massive charges on money that I borrowed. Its also good advice for people who are REALLY struggling, who want to pay back the debts that they have but cannot (sometimes through no fault of their own). Its no good getting on a moral high ground and saying that the consumer is ripping off the company. The company should have kept better records of the debt in the first place.LBM £18463.32 in debt 10th June 2008,£12470.99 in debt 10th June 2009.:jTime flies like an arrow.
