The worst PM I ever received by a trollish user was a threat to kill me, about 3 years ago. Since the person who sent it was clearly deranged and weird, judging by his posts and abrupt changes of moods and paranoid accusations (on threads too), I just ignored it and deleted it. I kept a screenshot though in case I got further hassle, which I didn't.

Oh Q thats awful....its upsetting isn`t it. I personally don`t reply if I feel uncomfortable with a pm. I don`t get that many but sometimes I wonder if I have posted too much info !!!!

I had one last year referring to where I used to live & I know I have never put that online...was a bit shaken but just did`nt reply.

No I wasn't afraid at all because it was obvious that this user couldn't find his way out of a paperbag anyway. He was convinced that myself and another user were hacking into his computer via mse - simply because we could edit quotes (which everyone can do of course).

Yeah you have to be careful I know.

Wow. all my pms have been really nice and helpful, I cant believe there has been death threats , I hope they were banned from the site and you didn't take them to seriously.

The scum trolls I would rather PM me, rather than have them post on a thread, or PM a newbie or someone in a vulnerable state

I report them to the abuse team, PM a board guide (they can delete posts )
,try to keep the troll busy, and they are quickly PPR'd :T

This thread here and the one on DFW does attract trolls,
But it keeps them on these threads and they do any damage anywhere else

That would have scared the "good for the roses " out of most people
