I think (though the links I used to have no longer work ) that this definition of 'trolling' is recognised internet-wide.

The short version is:

- not everyone who disagrees with you/'the board' is a troll
- a poster can sound just like 'you'/'the people who post on this board' yet still be a troll.

Thanks for your post coolcait & I actually remember the incident that you mention. I admit it has made me quite wary & sometimes hesitant in my replies...but hey-ho such is life eh!
