To repeat post 231 from December 08:

    "And buuuummmppp!!

Sometimes I hate it when my instincts are right.

The most successful trolls (IMO) are the ones who most successfully impersonate - and exaggerate - the emotions felt by the 'genuine posters'."

I haven't changed my view on that point - though admittedly this time it hasn't been triggered by seeing a 'desperate' 'new' poster accidentally post an update under 'her' existing 'desperate' poster ID.

I think (though the links I used to have no longer work :o) that this definition of 'trolling' is recognised internet-wide.

    The short version is:

    - not everyone who disagrees with you/'the board' is a troll
    - a poster can sound just like 'you'/'the people who post on this board' yet still be a troll.

Thanks for your post coolcait & I actually remember the incident that you mention. I admit it has made me quite wary & sometimes hesitant in my replies...but hey-ho such is life eh!

    Hope you are well Hun,

Am feeling more and more that this post is incredibly relevant - rather a sad thought though :(
