quiche and pearl barley????

hi guys back again to pick your wonderful brains.this morning i've made some quiche's with lardons and goats cheese which i bought back from france and some leftover leeks smells lovely.....i think i know the answer but thought i'd better check as dd thinks i'm trying to poison her with rubber chicken:rotfl: havent let on yet what it really means.
secondly on the spur of the moment in mr m's this morning i bought a bag of pearl barley thinking to use it to pad out mince to make it streeeeetch getting home i think i should have bought lentils have i made a boo boo.
if i can use the pearl barley what ratio to mince do i use also same for porridge oats (just found half a bag in the cupboard)
also how do i make keema mince ?

There's a thread on pearl barley here. I use it in soup. Tesco will take it back if you go and explain your mistake :j

ooher yes penny i did miss question 1 .....what i meant too say was can i freeze it ok once its cooked... it's the goats cheese i was concerned about and then do i cook from frozen or defrost first......i did read the thread first but cant find what ratio of pearly barley or porridge oats too mince or stews0
