You know this last month of careful money-watching has has a nice side-effect: I lost 7lbs.

And I agree with you - I haven't snacked that much either (mind you, the fact I was refused life insuarnce recently because I'm overweight also had something to do with it!!)
And my kids are eating more! My own home cooked stuff! Who would have thought it??????0 -
I lost a lot of weight last year but my money saving attempts are having the opposite effect. I've started baking some of my own stuff. Latest attempt was eclairs made with choux pastry. All I will say is; made 12, ate 12.
