  • Today is the first time since I started lurking in July I feel that I have wasted money.I bought a hot chocolate from the small cafe next to the uni - £1.30. It was *awful*. Think of a cup of hot water with a teaspoon of milk and brown food colouring and you'll be close. I think the new lass on the counter nees a bit more instruction - something like heap the spoon with chocolate mix don't just coat it.
Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!

Will be spending £2 later for the outstanding balance of DS1's school jumper.

Spent about £4 on a top for me and bodysuits for DD at La Redoute with my £10 off voucher (and I get a free bag). :D

Really pleased with yesterday's purchase though, got a £20 off and free p&p code off the vouchers board and used it on lxdirect for a winter coat, cost just £34 with the discount!! :D

    I have spent....

£20 on an eye test which was a mystery shopping assignment so I will get reimbursed for it - eventually! (I was also able to claim 2 nectar points for each pound spent, so have added 40 to my small collection).

I spent £1 on four tubs of soup ready for me to take into work next week for lunch. They were 65p each in Morrisons, but a collegue spotted them in Jack Fulton's 4 for £1 so I went up today and got some.

I also spent another £0.98p on 2 x 2 litre bottles of flavoured water from the freezer shop...

And 25p on an apple - how healthy am I?

And £4.50 on an all-day bus and train ticket (saving me 50p on paying separately) as today I needed to get 3 x buses @ £1.20 and 2 x trains at £0.70. I'll be able to claim £2.40 of that back from another mystery shopping job I did for a company who pays mileage. I wont have to buy one next week though because I have changed my college course from an afternoon to an evening so I'll be able to drive.

So spent quite a bit today really £26.73 of which I can claim back £22.40 so I spent £4.33 today of my own money.

PS - Jamie - Am I having to be the "what did you spend today" thread policeman? Last week it was 31 days in September, this week you are a year in advance!

Mind you - could it have been a freudian slip? Isn't that what being in debt is about - borrowing money from your future.... Hmmmm....
