My machine was running very slowly the other day so I cleaned it up with instructions I had run off from this site. I also deleted programmes, some of which I had not used since 2002. Now I cannot find WORD and need to type some letters. I can't see how I will have deleted this. I did delete things like MS Autoroute and a…

Open Office is like Microsoft Office (Which is what Word is part of) but it is free, compared to Microsoft Office which you have to pay for (usually, it comes bundled with the computer when you buy that.)

Open Office's equivalent programs to Microsoft Office 2003 are actually smaller, so if you had deleted Word but wanted to use Open Office instead it would save some space.
