BARCLAY'S ONLINE FRAUD - I think

Hope this is in the right place - please move to wherever it is appropriate.
I hold no accounts of any kind with Barclay's, but this has appeared in my bulk e-mail,which I rarely access.[/B]
In attempting to paste it here(3 times)the probable 'scam' text does not reproduce(don't know why). It requires a link to be clicked and talks about submitting details online and appears enclosed in a border.
Sorry if this is in the wrong spot - but as there must be many Barclay's holders among us I thought it should be made known. When I close the mail, a Yahoo warning pops up, with words to the effect that I was about to link to an address in an unauthorised way(no, I wasn't).

This last line does not show until I Select All, as a prelim to Copy and Paste.
Apologies if I am creating concern for no reason, but it smells very iffy and I will next look to find a Barclays address and send it back to them to deal with.

Interesting point about the last line. I have a theory that a lot of junk email is now getting sent with lines in invisible text (ie, white), that contains correctly spelt unusual words, in the hope of passing off as conversation and thus getting through spam filters. Maybe spam filters work on some ratio of "sex", "extension", "viagra" etc to other dictionary words?
here is some invisible text

I get them all the time from Barclays, Citibank, etc plus US banks I've never heard of.
Started forwarding them to fraud@thebankconcerned but they either get bounced or ignored.
It seems so rife nowadays that most bank websites have stopped offering to receive forwarded scams. They all say they would never ask for your details so assume it's a scam & bin it. If they really want to contact you they should have your address.
Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.0 -
Thankyou both - surfcat and bbruce - mail now binned. I'd never heard of invisible/white text.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

.Dear Sir/Madam,
Barclays Bank PLC. always look forward for the high security of our clients. Barclays is in no way involved with this email and the web site does not belong to us.
Barclays is proud to announce about their new updated secure system. We updated our new SSL servers to give our customers a better, fast and secure online banking service.
Due to the recent update of the servers, you are requested to please update your account info at the following link.
