Get hold of a debt charity and talk to them about your unsecured debts they can give you advise on your options.

But you need to tell your partner, hiding it from them is not going to make things any easier. And Im sure you will feel much better, a problem shared and all that.
"Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

Does your partner know about the debt, but not how much of a state your in? are you too worried to tell her how you feel?

If so maybe you should let it off your chest to a charity first then talk to her. Ring the CCCS. They're brilliant :) They put me at east straight away. Then you might be able to pluck up the courage to tell her. Us women are stronger than you think you know ;)

At least there's people on here going through it too and you'll get loads of help.

    good luck :)
Me before I found this forum  And me after going through BR with everyone's help :j

Sorry to hear about your situation Builderman. Firstly you need to contact one of the debt charities in my signature on Monday. While you are waiting go onto the CCCS website and do their Debt Remedy which will give you an idea of what is happening and a reference number you can give CCCS if you ring them. Numbers and links in my signature.

Then sit down with a cuppa and take a deep breath and talk to your wife about what is happening. She deserves to know and needs to be part of the descions. If you can show her you are taking positive action to get things back under control it will help.

If for what ever reason you feel BR is not for you then I would suggest you post this over on the Debt Free Wannabee board they are excellent in finding ways to cut back and battling debts. They will need to know APR's on the debt's and also how many in the family.

Any questions though just ask there is usually someone who can ask.
