E-book on rabbit care

Watcha,

I've seen plenty of posts about the ebooks you can buy on amazon and how they normally turn out to be flogging stuff freely available on the net (I've seen a couple of post saying they've got the books and are happy to share.). I was wondering if anyone had any info on an ebook on rabbit care thats on ebay? Anyone know if there's anything like it for free elsewhere???

Thanks

E.M.

  • I could be wrong but I doubt it would contain anything that couldn't be found on the net. The other thing about e-books is that it's much easier to read on paper so you end up printing it out anyway - might as well read the reviews on amazon and get a 'real' (paper) book. Or jus search Google for sites and forums if there is something specific you want to know.

The PDSA site has basic info on most pets, here's a link to the rabbit section:

If it's a 'house' rabbit, there is a UK house rabbit association, a friend joined years ago and found them really helpful when she needed advice. I think this is the one: http://www.houserabbit.co.uk/

So maybe you don't need to buy an ebook.

We've had rabbits and they were really lovely.

The first I would say is please make sure the hutch is big enough in width AND height. Ours could go out from hutch to run 24/7, 365 days of the year. We had a 6' hutch, 8' run and in the winter we covered the tops completely from hutch to run with the platic corrugated sheets you get from Wickes etc. When it was very cold we put these around the edges too so they were still able to go out but were nice and snug as well. They loved it when we brought them indoors as they could be nosy everywhere. You can also train rabbits to do their "business" in a tray as weel. We had a triangle shaped one, lined with paper and so it was very easy to clean every day. Whatever you do don't give them lettuce, that is poisionous to them.

Good Luck, have fun and don't forget they do need company as they are colony animals. A rabbit and a g/pig are NOT a good idea. The rabbits can be really nasty to them & that's not fair.
