I usually take the tactic 'I am offering you payment of £x per month. Please could P Brown collect the first instalment when he calls on Tuesday.'0

I've had a card telling me that A Kelly from NCO is coming to my house on Tuesday from 9am to 9pm.. I was paying NCO £50 per month. They then called me to demand to full amount. This is something i can not pay now being out of work. I have asked to continue with the £50 but they hung up...
Does A kelly exist? Has anyone had them come round?0 -
I too have received one of P Browns calling cards saying he will call today. After reading the posts on here I was relieved that as I thought this was just a scare tactic and he did not actually exist.
However, having now got home from work I am told by my son that a man in a shirt and tie came round asking for me and said he will be back. I can not imagine anyone else who it may be so must assume it was the elusive Mr Brown, who maybe does exist after all.......:mad:0 -
First of all debt collectors who go out and about collecting debts get paid a percentage of whatever they can collect.
They spend most of their days getting nowhere but will have a pile of debts to work through. The chances are yours will not have been allocated for personal collection on economic grounds.
If it has, imagine if you were the collector and you had a pile of 100 debts, most for many £000s, how much effort are you going to put in to trying to collect £130 knowing you'll get £50 at best and make £10 commission? It is extremely unlikely you will get a visit.
If you do the collector has NO rights. Do not allow in to your home whatever tactics are used and, more importantly, if he did get in and starts listing your goods do not sign this list, the 'Walking Possession'.
Again, extremely unlikely so don't worry.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

I have a similar issue. But I dod not want them even atempt to come to my house. I have contacted Orange and informed that I would pay what I could. I lost my phone and it was actually stolen and I failed to cancel it until a week later. What should I do? Should I take a loan that will charge me an other £500 in top of the £2200 I already owe?0

Worry not!!!!
They will not even attempt to come.
Secondly do not take out a loan, thats one of the most silliest things you could do.For everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0
