    Ian,

the endowments were in his name so no come back on them, also the dmp felt as i had got a better paying job then i could afford to pay creditors more, even after i asked for a review they said they could not reduce payments. I do get 2 small pension payments £54 + £90 so its not alot, might need to look at getting an evening job to make more money.

  • You're right on the Endowments unfortunately.

Getting a better paid job is good, but did you get a rise of £413 per month NET, to justify the increase in DMP payments?

As for the debts in your husbands name, take a look here:

You may not be liable for his debts afterall.

You said you have £13,000 of debt and yet your husband had 3 Credit Cards totalling £10,000 and a £3,000 overdraft. Are you saying then, that the DMP of £13,000 is ALL his old debt? If that's the cas, if none of it were joint, that you might not have to pay for them. As you say, his assets paid for his funeral and headstone etc.

The debts unfortunatley were joint so as executor of his estate I am liable for them and in answer to your previous question, no my job didnot give me a rise of £413 but CCCS take into account all income including WTC, CB and my 2 smal pensions.

You said your husband had Cards and Overdraft of £13,000. Was the Bank Account Joint? Are you sure the Credit Cards are Joint and not just in his name with you as a 2nd card holder?
