Pension Funds - Sanity Check

I have a Skandia personal pension where i can choose the funds and switch them around all online, very convenient.

I have 2 property funds and a financial one which haven't been very kind to me over the last 6 months or so, i'm thinking to ditch them and invest in less volatile funds for the next year or two, things only seem to be getting worse.

Anybody here predicting good times for banks and commercial property, before i cut my losses?

On a more serious note, I was reading earlier in the week that the director of balanced property funds at Legal & General and manager of the L&G UK Property trust, said he was 'braced for substantially worse results'.

Make of that what you will.

You need to take a five year view on investing. Buying high and selling low is typical behaviour of the "mug punter".

If you are investing new money, why don't you divert that into lower risk funds if you feel the current asset mix is too high risk for you?

Over time that will lower the risk profile of your portfolio.
