Cyota

ive been trying really hard to ensure that my acc doesn't go overdrawn as i dont have an overdraft on my 'spending money' acc. last fri my balance was £203.10 i purchased tickets on ticketmaster for £136.50, spent £37 in new look and £29.57 in asda. leaving me with an available balanc of 3p. i always know exactly how much is in my account right down to the last penny and i can remember being in asda and really wanting a bar of choc but i couldn't as i didn't have enough money...

i have now received a letter from the bank to advise i will be charged £35 for a paid item charge and £28 unauthorised overdraft charge????? promptly called the bank who advised when ticketmaster took payment out there was also a £2.50 payment to cytoa?? for authorisation?? this payment is still pending (showing an account balance of 3p but available -£2.47) and shouldn't debit the acc however when the payment to new look debited there was 'insufficient funds'. not bank error therefore have to take it up with the company...

who the heck are they? did i miss something on the ticketmaster website to advise this would happen? i am SO annoyed! tried looking them up on google but don't really understand

has anyone ever come across them before?

xXx

Hiya, can you remember when you purchased ticketmaster, was there any posters/signs saying that you would be charged a % for using a debit/credit charge?. Or did the person selling the ticket tell you there would be?. Maybe you can go back and have a look (if poss). I say this because my OH was subjected to the same 'con' in B&Q, when we tackled them about it they dropped the case like a hot brick!. Please let me know, can give you some advice on letter writing if you need it. Good Luck. babbit

It sounds like it was a credit/debit card charge, or possibly their postage fee (which can be around £2.25)?

  • i got them straight from the ticketmaster website. 2 tickets at £60 each, service charge of £7.25 each plus £2 post charge. no where does it advise of this blooming £2.50. i don't understand why its pending and won't debit. why bother in the 1st place?

I would try ringing Ticketmaster and asking them directly what it is, why you have been charged it and where it states about it on their website.
