Tesco clubcard vouchers - expiry date question

Options
I hope I've got the right forum for this...

I'm collecting tesco clubcard points and every few weeks I get vouchers in the post for a few pounds.

The problem is, I'm not very good at remembering to take them with me when I go shopping, and have lost several because the use-by date on them expires.

Do Tesco enforce the expiry date on the vouchers rigidly, or am I likely to be still able to use them for a few months beyond the date?

If they are the clubcard ponts collected turned into money vouchers that expire in a few years, then after expiry I understand you can sent them back and ask for them to be re-credited to your account. Best not to spend these instore as the value is quadrupled if you use them on the 'deals' on the website.

If they are the £X off when your spend is £X pounds vouchers, then after the expiry date shown they are useless, best to stick them all in your wallet/bag and carry them at all times if you are forgetful.

I've only ever used this Vouchers on line.

The odd occasion where it has expired, I've e-mailed their customer service team and indicated the time period was a tad short, especially since I'd just spent X amount.

They sent me a new code with a revised expiry date.

You also find on-line you can't use two coupons that both start XX.
Now the freebies you get by E-mail occasionally and free delivery coupons etc all start XX. Now if you've received your coupons through the post for money off when they cash in your points these are also XX. Quite often they coincide so you can't actually use them unless you have about 6 deliveries in one week!

Never had a problem getting them renewed.

    you only have to ask!

A top tip as well if you don't mind where you shop. Is to alternate on-line between stores.

If you don't shop at Tesco for a few weeks, they send you a £10 off voucher on your next on-line shop.
Same with Asda. So switch between them and you keep getting these £10 off vouchers.
Sainsbury's probably do the same - when their systems are working ;-)

    Thanks everyone.

I don't order groceries online, and don't really visit theme parks etc, so I guess I really should get them spent in store rather than lose them.

Check out the options for deals before you dismiss them - there's more than just theme park tickets on offer!

My clubcard £X coupons ran out a short while ago and emailed them, this is the reply:

    Thank you for your email.

I'm sorry that your Clubcard vouchers have expired. I can understand how annoying this is.

We're happy to add the same amount of points back onto your Clubcard account. You'll then receive them, with the other points you're collecting, in our next Clubcard mailing period.

Just send a copy of your expired Clubcard vouchers to:

Recently realised that a £5 clubcard voucher had passed its expiry date ... went online and thought I'd give it a go anyway ,before contacting customer services, and put through the code for the deal voucher ... no problem at all.

40 points for buying butter-is it this sort of coupon?

if so, useless after expiry date and tesco won't reissue-i received some in the post after they'd expired once-tesco said sorry, can't reissue, nothing they could do.
