I would get your credit records from experian and equifax and check you are not financially associated with her - the leaflet you get with them should give you info on how to do this.

    Hi,
I recently did the equifax on line credit record check (free for 30 days and then 59.99 for 1 year). Have to say it has been great - found out my ex was still financially associated to me even though we never had any joint accounts, and have been apart for 2 years-I did the online change and it was literally changed overnight!! I know that 59.99 is a lot of money if you are skint (heaven knows I am most of the time), but it has been the best thing I done (apart from leaving my ex).
    Gimme back my bank charges!!!!!
  • Unless you need/want to have the facility available for a year why not just use the 30 day free trial period to get the info you need and then cancel.
That way it won't cost you a penny.

It was a very cunning advert, I have to say - there was no option of cancelling - it went through as a switch payment - unless I missed something. I thought when I registered that I would be able to cancel, just by deleting the direct debit - but alas (and a big gulp - coz I wondered how I would afford it)! However, it means I can have unlimited credit reports for the year (and I did manage to pay it).
