Help with Bankruptcy Trustees

This is my first time so wasn't sure where to start!
My dad was made bankrupt over 15 years ago and a charge was placed on the family home. Now, at the ripe old age of 68, the trustees have decided that they want their money. He already works all the hours he can with no sign of ever retiring. Does anyone know of a reputable company that can buy the trustees share of the home whilst allowing my parents to live there until the end of their days???
The stress this is causing all of us in unbelievable so any advice will be very gratefully received.
:D I am what I am - in debt and dealing with it!!!!!!!:A

Sorry I have been so long replying to your thread, I had to find the details to give you.

I am not an expert but something is going on at the moment with old bankruptcies. the government or similar is going after all the houses that were not sold at the time, they have employed several firms to do this for them and they are ruthless. This is not something you can do yourself.

You need to contact Gill Hankey at the Bankruptcy Advisory Service on 01482 633034/5, they are experts in all bankruptcy matters and particlurly this problem with homes. You pay them £25 a year, well worth it, and they will help. I have no connexion with this organisation other than having found them very helpful to me. You should contact them urgently before things go to far. Good luck and let us all know what happens

Thanks for the info, they are helping but the only thing they can do is try and reduce the debt. The problem is raising the money and at the moment it looks as though they are going to lose the house they've lived in for 20 years just cos the government can't wait. Will be interesting to see what they (Government) do if there is a drop in house prices and they never get to see the money they want????
