auto loan and trading for a different car

In april of 2008, I purchased a 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX and with rising gas prices and my move to mississippi from California, I want to trade it in for a hybrid (Prius most likely). My finacing is through Chase and I have ~ $18,000 left with 5.9%.
How can I make this trade happen? I have not the foggiest idea as to how this should happen and I dont want to be ripped off at the dealership.

This is a UK based website, and most of the advice is therefore biased towards our system here. Not sure if you will get US specific advice.
Here I would suggest you shop around at least four dealers and see what you get offered.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.
