Electric Heaters v's Electric oil filled radiators
Hi,
I currently have Dimplex electric storage heaters
at a property I moved into, as well as dimplex
electrical heaters, ones which start producing heat
as soon as the power is turned on.
I was wondering if these type of instant heat heaters
are uneconomical compaired to the electric oil filled
stand alone radiators?
As I was thinking of purchasing a couple of the oil filled
stand alone radiators, but wanted to know if they would
be more economical than the instant heat heaters.
If someone could let me know I would be greatfull.
Regards

This have been covered in a couple of threads recently.
There is reall no difference between the efficiency(and hence economy) of most forms of electrical heating; it is close to 100%.
The storage heaters are designed to heat up slowly overnight on Economy 7 electricity and slowly release the heat over the daytime.
The only difference between oil fired and fan heaters is that the former heat more slowly and release the heat over a longer period, but no difference in economy(provided they have the same kWh rating).Robert0
