LOST complete DVD boxset £26

You may call me sad, but im loving this series so far!!
Apparantly they are going to release the series in the UK in two separate boxsets (12 episodes each) for £25 each - RIP OFF BRITAIN anyone??

Ive just ordered the complete boxset (all 24 episodes) from amazon.com in america. Complete boxset plus delivery for only £26 and you get it before the series finishes on C4. Only downside is you have to have a multi-region DVD player, but as i understand most players and computers have this enabled now anyway.

Please be aware that sometimes you will be charged VAT on items over the value of £18 (maybe £19) when ordered from abroad and also a charge from the post office (or whoever delivers the goods) for collecting the VAT.

I've been looking at the series too, but I've been looking at CDWow (£31.99) using a pigsback voucher for £8.75 towards the cost. I'm led to believe that CDWow somehow get away without charging the VAT.

does anyone know how far along the series is on tv now? is it worth buying the boxset from america? my husband and i are addicted to it and hate the sheer number of ad breaks per episode!

ps. how do i tell if my dvd player is a multi region one? ps will it say on the player itself?

It's episode 10 of 25 tonight, the 2nd series is on in America now with a 3rd being filmed currently.

Should say on it but you can hack them easily and find the codes off the net, somewhere more techie then me might be able to help. But I think the cheap ones in ASDA are multi-region.

Try this site http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers to find out if yours is alredy multi region or if you can input a code to make it region free

Season 1 has 24 episodes (the last episode is a double one)

Season 2 Episode 3 airs tonight in USA.

I also read that the cast have signed up for 6 seasons! So they are not going anywhere for a while!

I am also addicted to it, I have the boxset of Season 1 and it is well worth the money, 7 dvds including a disc of bonus features.

I fear that amazon.com would attract customs charges.

I would recommend cd-wow as definately NO customs charges from them. I got mine from cd-wow and I used one of the 20% discounts that are floating about the web bringing it down to £25.59 (unable to post the discount here due to mse rules).

By the way - I know whats in the hatch - LOL

It's also worth checking that your tv is NTSC compatible. Most new tvs are, but like I say, you may want to check.

If it was won in a raffle it could be one of the cheaper ones (they're always being given away in raffles) but are generally quite good and normally multi-region, especially if it's not a big brand.
