He also said and I quote. "he wants his money" its not his but the councils.
I have searched through my old mail, and can not find a letter saying we are due for a court hearing.
The bailiffs company is Jacobs Certificated Bailiffs.

Ok...Have these bailiffs been into the property before.
Go down to the council and make an offer of payment to them, even if it is refused still make a payment of whatever you can reasonable afford.
Contact the bailifs again and explain you have received advice from the National Debtline read through this again and quote your rights, also state to the council you have contacted the National Debtline and you are acting on advice given to you from them.
You might have to phone them 0808 808 4000 and ask for further advice.
Remember we are talking about council tax here and you have, or are making every possible effort to remake payments on the outstanding balance.
I'm in two minds to invite the company to come on here to try their bully tactics.
Let us know what happens.0 -
I phoned the debt line, and they told me to wright a letter to the bailiffs and the council.
I also went to the council and they said its to far gone, I have got to go back tomorrow to see someone else.
Also the bailiffs have not been on my property but are due on thursday.
Is there anything else I can say, or just wait for a response from these letters??Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -

Don't let the bailiffs in what ever you do.
Go back to the council and ask to speak to someone from the recovery section or better still phone them today.
Explain your situation and mention that you have spoken to Nationaldebt, again make an offer of payment to them, but make this a realistic one which you know you can afford.0 -
