A friend of had mine had sun blinds (the mesh sort for the car) made up with her childminding name and phone number.
Sorry but I'm not sure where she brought them from but perhaps if you google you should be able to find them (she got them from the net)0 -
We've always found ours via http://www.childcarelink.gov.uk/whitebox/cis.asp?cisid=5051&mapid=379
It also helps to be registered with the local childcare co-ordinator if there is one as they tend to put work/enquiries your way and tend to oversee the process, well they do in Trafford anyway.0 -

Great idea!
A cheaper version would be a laminated A4 poster on the car window. (someone advised me to do this when i was starting up)
A lot of it is word of mouth, so make sure you're always out and about at toddler group, etcThreadhead0 -
My local council has a list of Registered Childminders, they emailed this list then I telephoned the ones in my area. I then went to visit the ones I thought would be suitable.
Therefore it might be worth checking with your councilWaddle you do eh?0 -

I had a leaflet pushed through my door for child minding / babysitting. As I looked out the window I saw it was a girl of no more than 9 that had pushed it through!0

How about the clinic where the health visitors check over the little ones?
They usually have a notice board.0
