I was fortunate enough to win one of these books and I love it. The recipes are varied and, although there are some I wouldn't use, there are many I will.
At the beginning of every month there is an overview with the dishes that are planned for the month. If suitable as they stand there is a shopping list that covers them, a week at a time. It even gives an on line link in order for you to download/print the aforementioned list saving you the time and effort of copying it out by hand negating the possiblity of errors. I have never seen this facility in a cookbook before.
There are notes in the instructions such as:
"use leftovers to make ... (see page ....)". No more using half of something and wondering what to do with the other half.
"portions for the freezer are frozen raw and can be cooked from frozen..." and below the main recipe instructions are the instructions on cooking the frozen portions.
etc
Every recipe gives a countdown, eg "40 minutes before you want to eat ...." "20 minutes before ....." etc. The recipes even give an optional "Get Ahead Preparation" ranging from part to the whole of the dish.
It also tells you in "Kitchen Revolution Extra" how, for example, not only how to chose the best fish, but to chose ethically acceptable fish; free-range veal is recommended and explained; where you could source the best water-cress, and so on.
By now you will realise - I like this book and am so glad I won it. Thanks."Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm Welsh" Cerys Matthews0 -

Mine has arrived, and have looked through it. Seems interesting, but really not very veggie-friendly. Might see if my mum wants it!OD £lots Egg Card £329.04 Parents £650 Sofa £741.780

I'm really late posting my thoughts on the book sorry! I won a copy but I'm not very good at finding threads etc on the site but hopefully better late than never. It is a very good looking book but I would have to agree with others that it is too fussy for my household which includes a teenage boy! need I say more. I will certainly follow a few of the recipes and "cherrypick" from different weeks but I personally wouldn't buy this book. However it has inspired me to make a menu each week and stick to it and buy accordingly so I am very pleased to have won it.0
