Hi all
Hope you can help me I posted that in CC section but I am desperate for an answer, I called egg to pay my monthly payment I was told that there is default under my name!!!! Can they register default after one missed payment? To cut a storey short, I had egg CC and I was paying by direct debit but then changed my main bank and I was getting overcharged and payments were not going through to egg since April 2008. I never inform egg with my new address but they claim that they sent it to old address to put default in my account. Checked my credit file, In my credit file only May is marked as missing 1 payment, and I paid this month now Since they terminated my account and not getting interest off me, would they just start marking each month as missing payment from now on?? Until they get their money?? Is it better to pay off that amount in full even though it is 1k by this month, then it will mean only one month of none payment !! but then can they mark it as default after?? I am so confused someone help me please.

Egg defaulted me after 1 missed payment, which they are quite entitled to do unfortunately. Technically I had defaulted so I can't really complain, but they were very quick.LBM : March 2008

The section titled "Time framework" and "Notices of intention to file a default" in this factsheet may be worth looking at.
