Half price electricals at Asda online

Just received an email: up to half price electricals @ Asda online.

As with all these type of sales the key is in those two little words, "up to".

They appear to have 1 half-price CRT TV; 1 half price MP3 speakers, 1 half-price car CD player, 1 half price fan, 2 half price hobs, 1 half price cooker hood, 1 half price DVD recorder and 1 half price salad grater. And that's it. Everything else in the sale is at much lower discounts.

I suggest you don't get too excited.

As biglugs is obviously having a go at Asda and not the OP; I can only presume you work for Asda and it was you who wrote the e-mail and that's why you are so angry!

Sorry - I didn't mean to be rude. I was simply highlighting what a complete con these "up to HALF PRICE SALE!!!!!" ads really are. It's like Homebase and their "up to 20% OFF EVERYTHING" ads, where they have ONE item at 20% off.
Personally I think Trading Standards should be allowed to stamp down on these over-hyped promotions, and I'm surprised Asda feels the need to stoop to such low levels to sell itself.

Or I could list all the half priced items and save lots of MSErs the effort of going to the Asda site and discovering their half price sale is a con?

The delivery cost is £6.79 which is too high. Is anyone aware of any code which can make delivery from Asda online either free or cheap?
