Lucy's DFW positive thoughts for 19th June 08

Hi :hello:
I was having a big rethink last night as I have been under a large amount of stress recently, and I realised that I think to negatively; which has to stop. But I also imagined that loads of people here get so wrapped up in their problems with debt and everything else that they forget what we have to be grateful for.
It could be anything, from knowing your health is good or that today you are going to take one more step to become debt free. Or even events, having one extra special hug from the kids, someone smiling at you in the supermarket even though you don't know them (I personally love this one!).
Things that remind you that there is a world out there beyond debt and worry.
So everyday I am going to remind myself what I have in my life to think and feel postive about.
So...
Lucys positive thought for today - The sun is shining, I have washing on the line which will dry and I am loved by those truely important to me!
It may not be much, but I wondered if we actually reminded ourselves of these things and didn't worry all the time about what we have to do, would we get these things done quicker? Feel free to post yours if you want to.
But, I want to give a huge hug to everyone out there who needs one :grouphug: and to remind you that we are all here for the same reason and we will never judge.

When I was younger I had confidence issues, and was always feeling low. My mentor made me a load of thought bubbles (comments on a bubble shaped card) that I left around my bedroom at home, some of them were good, some of the were just silly. The good ones motivated me and the silly ones cheered me up.
The one that always sticks with me is “Laugh and the whole world Laughs with you, cry and you get wet”
It makes you think about things in a clearer way if you look at it from the comedy perspective.
The other trick I was taught is to look at yourself in the mirror in the morning (its like a horror film for some people, me included) but you look at yourself in the mirror and smile, it has to be a nice smile, a sincere smile, an honest smile. It really warms you up, and you know if you smile others will smile back at you, because:
“A smile is Infectious”
If all the DFW’s on here went around smiling at other people we could start an epidemic!
I think this thread is a good one and Good on Lucy for starting it!!!
PS. The confidence issues are now resolved, I work as an entertainer! So something along the line worked (and I still have some of the thought bubbles around just for laugh really as I like the comments) As for the smiling in the mirror in the morning, I give that one a miss, I could frighten a police horse first thing in the morning! – I do chat to myself though and tell myself that I can do it and such if I get stuck, and I shout at myself when I do silly things too….0
