Good if you live in Manchester

I've had a good search around on the net and I'm pretty sure that this is by far the best deal for this product. Basically, I work for Centrica (British Gas) and we have a staff benefits site called Perkz. In the 'North West Offers' section there has just been a new offer added for a discount card called City Card Manchester which seems really good value.

After a few searches on google I found offers where you could get one for £35.00 for the year by using various codes online. However our staff site says that by entering the word PERKZ in the offer ID box when you join, the price goes down to £20.00.

It seemed a bit too good to be true but I tried it and the payment went through at £20.00 fine wth the receipt saying '12 month Individual City Card' so it seems fine. The good thing is that there don't seem to be any checks to see that you work for Centrica as it doesn't ask you this anywhere in the process so I reckon it should be fine.

The website is https://www.citycardmanchester.co.uk and you can view the offers online. It seems very good and looking back over the past 12 months I think that I would have saved quite a lot if I had used it when I went to the restaurants and cinemas and other things that are listed. Last week we could have used the 25% discount for Saporo Tepnyaki as 4 of us went last Thursday and spent over £150, so it would have covered its cost then plus saved back an extra £15.

I reckon its worth a try even if you don't work for Centrica as I don't reckon they 'll check - good luck.

There are a few others on the Perkz site too, so when I'm back in work on Friday I'll have a look if theres anything decent and post it here if it look easy to use :A

Quick update

My card arrived today (no stamp so think it was hand delivered) and came with quite a snazzy little booklet, and they don't seem to have any checks about where you work.

Will be using it tomorrow night at The Comedy Club on Deangate locks, so in theory should save most of it back in one go! Back in work tomorrow so will check what else there is on Perkz!
