CCJ's 6 years from judgement or settlement???

I had a CCJ issued to me on the 21st August 2002 which was settled on the 16th February 2004.
Knowing that a CCJ lasts for 6 years, is this from the date the judgement was issued or from when the debt was settled?
I have a certificate of Satisfaction but this does not explain when CCJ expires. Can anyone help?
