Hi all,
i am a student looking to buy a new laptop for my final year at uni. Is it best to buy one now, or will they come down in price significantly nearer sept/oct with 'back to school' offers. Am not desperate and dont want to find out 6 weeks after the purchase that its reduced by hundreds of pounds!!!!!
Equally, does anyone know of any stockists (stores or online) that offer decent laptops with good deals?
Advice please !
Cheers

It probably wont be cheaper to buy in Sept. However, what you get for your money will be a bit better.
I know Apple offer good student discount. Get yourself a macbook, you wont be dissapointed.0 -
I recently bought a 'reconditioned' laptop from Dixons on-line, paid £250 for it, Its a Compaq, Dual Core Pentium and it has a decent sized memory etc. Cant really tell you any more about the spec because it means very little to me, but from checking with colleagues I have been assured its pretty good .
I was a bit dubious about buying reconditioned, but it arrived a few weeks ago, looks brand new and works a treat, comes with normal 12 month warranty and im chuffed to bits with it.
Good luck with your final year at Uni !0
