my hubby bought a car and would like to pay off the rest of the balance. He has a letter from the finance people saying if he settles the account earlier than six months from the final payment he is entitled to pay a reduced amount. After phoning the company for the final balance they have quoted it as about £700 higher. Does anyone know why. The final payment is not due until May 2009.
