Bankruptcy Scotland Advice

Hi there,
I wonder if anyone has any experience of bankruptcy (sequestration) in Scotland? I was initially setting up a DMP with CCCS, but as i'm currently unable to work they've now informed me I mightn't qualify, and that bankruptcy might be my only option under the new 'Low Income Low Assets' law. They've also informed me that my creditors are likely to MAKE me bankrupt even though I don't own my own home/car etc, and i'm now absolutely terrified i'm going to be forced into it! Please help, i'd really appreciate your advice - the lady I spoke to didn't have much information on sequestration. I'm also self-employed, and worried about the implications of that.
Lisa.

You would be best posting this on the Bankruptcy sub board - firstly a lot of the folk on there have been or are going thropight bankruptcy and can help with the emotional side of things, secondly there are (I think) two posters who are part way through Bankruptcy under the new legislation.
Good luck0 -
Thanks Peb - I don't see a sub board though?0

Go to the forum jump at the bottom right hand of this screen; if you click on the drop down button you will find the board just under this one.
I think that is the easiest way to explain it!0 -
Ahh, found it. Thanks again.
