A large mirror

Is mirror expensive? I have had this idea to do our alcoved bit in our bathroom which is pretty big but think it would look great..we only have one local shop which supplies but not near enough for me to just pop in and wondered if anyone knew roughly how much they are..
It is 55" width and 65" height..
Thanks.

I don't know how much this will cost but what I do know is, that it is much cheaper to go to a glazier and ask them to cut a mirror to size than to try to buy one readymade so to speak.

Or you can buy mirrored tiles if you are looking for really cheap? Ikea do a good range of tiles that fit together (large and small).

    55 inch by 65 in the bathroom:eek:

You must be much better looking than me :D

Its not going to be cheap and instalation will be hard. Its going to be heavy.
I think mirror tiles is the way to go .
( plus a curtain , for those early morning visits to the loo)

I had mirror made up last year a third of your size ( with bevelled edges)
    that cost over £100

lol wallbash! it is not for beauty puposes as such but it is a brand new bathroom and i just think the alcove bit will look lovely as a huge mirror..like a hotel type one!! I don't want tiles so may not do in that case!!
    Thanks.

Thinking mirror tiles would looka bit cheap , esp in a new bathroom.
A ( very carefully sited :D )large mirror would look good ,
Could you not settle for something a little more modest.

My 36 x 24 inch triple bevelled mirror cost £120 last year.

how about instead of paying for an expensive mirror . you find a picture of yourself looking amazing and you blow it up (may cost a couple of £) then put this on the wall where the mirror was going to go that way everytime you look into it you look amazing and you have saved a fortune

Get one cut by a glazier - if you get it bevelled it will be hellishly expensive - without bevelled edges it should be much cheaper.

Lol Rob hmm interesting idea and if i looked like a super model i may consider it but i don't want to look at myself in huuuge thanks!! I will ring round and get some qoutes..just thought a huge one would look great!! I don't want bevveled edges either as it will sit right against the walls.
