cabot acc number

i have been trying to send an sar to cabot but i cant find my account number, i have telephoned them but they want me to send a copy of my passport to prove who i am, anyone know if i can apply for sar without a ref number ?

You don't need a ref number. They already have your address so that should be all they need. Don't send them any extra information, especially something with your signature on.

Just request all infromation the hold on you. You can do that with banks too for old accounts that you don't have the account numbers for.
