I did a stupid thing...
I was following a friends sat nav three weeks ago and I must have turned down a 'no right turn' or 'no left turn' or something anyway I got a fine for it through the post £80
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr  This is why even if I had the spare cash I wouldn’t buy one!!
The Problem it has caused
I have to pay it, so basically now I only have £80 to live on until July 16th. (£20 per week) Instead of having £160 (£40 per week)
The good news
I can get to work and back - I have a travelcard
I have some casserole beef in the freezer
And I have enough ingredients to make bread.
All my bills are paid for
What I need/have to do between now and 16th
Usually with £160 non of this would be a problem….and here I thought I finally had a balance between living and paying off debts.
I guess these things happen and I can do it but any sympathy, help, suggestions, and words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

- Food shopping for myself- and food prices are rising!!
- Attend a special friend's birthday celebration - get a card and gift and it’s a special 30th Birthday
- Attend a works leaving lunch
- Attend another very good friends birthday celebration - get a card (gift is sorted)
- Attend a work event (will need food and drinks)
Usually with £160 non of this would be a problem….and here I thought I finally had a balance between living and paying off debts.

In Jan 2007 I had a debt of £27,896.00
In October 2011 I paid it off and owned £0.00 - Kinda proud of this!:T

I cant appeal the ticket, looking at the map and the images that is definitely me. I've paid it now anyway - just did it online.
Did I follow the road signs? hmmph....:p
I'm a safe driver and cant afford things like this so I always follow the signs. To be honest I really don't know how it happened. Its annoying!

If it's somewhere close by I'd take the Sat Nav back there and see if it's a programming problem-ie it told you to go there-and if it is I'd appeal it.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -

Just my opinion, but I don't think you'd win an appeal unless the actual road signage is unclear or missing. It's not the roads authority's fault that the satnav is wrongly programmed. Sorry!
But to help with the OP and the list of things to do, I take it that you cannot or don't want to avoid attending any of the work parties? As for the present for the special friend, could you do a homemade "gift certificate" that promises something useful in the future (e.g. babysitting - a slave for a day - rampant s*x - something like that)?:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls
MSE: many of the benefits of a helpful family, without disadvantages like having to compete for the tv remote

I agree im not going to bother to appeal the ticket.
I really dont want to avoid any of the events as I have already rsvp'd and some of them I really cant get out of the work one either.
A homemade gift certificate is a WONDERFUL idea, I could offer to cook a meal when im back to £40 a week again...In Jan 2007 I had a debt of £27,896.00 :eek:In October 2011 I paid it off and owned £0.00 - Kinda proud of this!:T0 -

Speeding at 36mph rather than 30mph means statistically for every ten kiddies you hit you'll kill an extra 3 of them.... Sorry to sound moralistic but if the fine's help people remember it's probably a good thing as that limit really is the point where the death rate rises steeply... at 45mph you can pretty much guarantee to wipe them all out.... depends if you like kids or not I guess0
