Hello everyone
Can anyone confirm if it's true about the two pound coin ??? The one where the queen is wearing a pearl necklace and a smaller crown is supposed to be collectable and maybe worth up to £15 each. Does anyone know and are lots of others looking out for them or is it a windup ?

Not sure about the dress of the Queen, but....
£2 coins were first issued in 1992 (or there abouts) and were withdrawn after only 2,000ish were produced. I own three of them! Only a couple of years on I heard they were worth £10 each so it is conceivable that these ones are now marketable at £20 or more!0 -
The two pound coins I mean are the current ones and not the original ones minted years ago....look at each one you receive and eventually you will find one with the pearl necklace and different crown. Does anyone else know if they have a higher than face value? thanksThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Hi all,
Cazan,
Have a look at the following link,

In view of this I would say that a two pound coin is, indeed, only worth two pounds.

Just to come back to this one, people e-bay have indeed paid more for coins than they're worth! I guess anything is worth a shot.
Something is worth as much as the next person is willing to pay!0
