My vacuum cleaner has died! I really need to buy a new one,but spoilt for choice, will pay up to £200 for the right one,but ideally more like £100.
The main thing is it needs to be bagless, powerful easy to empty and use and reliable.I have three messy kids,a big muddy garden, and a very fluffy cat, so I hoover most days.
I want something that I actually want to whiz around with, and I'm not cursing all the time for being in adequate!
We had the first Dyson years ago and was rather unimpressed how quickly bits bust off it etc.Have they improved over the years?
Does anyone have a particular model/make they would recommend,or seen any fab bargains around?
I've only had uprights in the past, but to be honest on the last one I used the hose the majority of the time.

I can recommend this Bissell.
Its described as reconditioned but mine and most others (by comments recieved) arrived immaculate with no sign of use or marks.
£49.95 .. Bargain

I would probably recomend the ball dyson but maybe not the slimline version as this is the one i have and while its great for whizzing around it doesnt have the power of the dc07 but it has a better head for reaching where the dc07 doesnt. I found the dc07 much better than the dc14 as we had both and my dc07 now lives upstairs;)The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0

i have 2 long haired cats, I did have a morphy richards pets but found it got blocked up all the time si I bought a Dyson dc20 cylinder Animal and it is fantastic! worth every penny..i bought it from currys for £209 but it has gone up now to £299. it is very well made and a dream to use.
Amazon are doing it for £199. I know it seems expensive but it really is worth the money when you have pets - its fantastic with pet hair. it also comes with a 5 year guarantee

just to add that the cylinder Dysons are a lot lighter than the uprights0
