Help? How long do the defaults last and Cahoot!

Hi All,

I'm hoping you might be able to help with a few things!

I'm on a DMP with CCCS and have been since October 2005. I've been doing pretty well and with Debts totalling £22K I have paid off just over half. :D
But I have just realised that Cahoot had been adding interest that CCCS do not take into account. (raising my debt amount and extending my debt free date:( )

Firstly: I probably have default notices from most of my creditors - does anyone know how long do these show up for/ how long they are taken into consideration for ?

Secondly - A tip for anyone with a cahoot flexloan on a DMP
I have been reading that their flexible loan rate has been hiked up to 19.9%. As far as I know they have kept mine at 14.9% ( I havent had any other notification that it has changed) this may have been because I wrote to them asking that thye cease the interest at the time I took out the DMP?

Thirdly:
Does anyone know if there is a settlement penalty for the Cahoot flexible loan?

Thanks
Kria

I have no idea re this but will watch with interest. Im due shortly to start a DMP with cccs and I have a flexiloan with Cahoot. So far I've been paying them goodwill token payments of £1 but they(get this!) refuse to discuss mt debt with me..............with ME! They will only discuss my debt (at all) with the CCCS when I get onto a DMP.
    Funny onions.
Good luck with this and well done having paid off half your debt already!
