you're paying for petrol - i take it you have a car - aren't you paying for insurance or is that paid - do you need the car - would public transport be cheaper. You phone bills are expensive - £65 month is too much. Do you need the landline as well as the mobile - do you have a deal on your mobile - how many minutes do you get etc. Are you a student or what?

  • 1) £30 for phone & £30 for mobile seems way over the top- who is phone with? why is mobile phone essential- why not change to pay as you go? can you get out of this mobile contract? when does it end?
    2) why is car essential- can you sell it?
    3) what about tv licence, poll tax, gas, electricity, food, water rates, insurance, charges for internet? car tax? etc?
    4) what is £50 bits & pieces spent on.
5)can you get part-time job? sell things on e bay? have you spoken to bank about getting loan with cheaper apr? use this loan to pay off the other one and target any saved money saved from interest to pay off other debts?
6)what are these 3 items which led to debt? what have you done with them? can you sell them (even at a loss) and use money to repay debt and get yourself out of this mess?

I think the obvious here is the job. £120 a week???

You can earn more than that at mcdonalds or taxi driving or both.

yeah thats why i'm asking are you a student? or why are your earnings so low. Also £300 per month for rent for a room seems high (to me anyway) - which part of the country are you in?

what type of home insurance do you have? if yuo're living inrented accomodation you don't need buildings and if you are a student or something you probably shouldn't be paying that much contents insurance. how much are you paying for that now? you seriously shouldn't be paying for job cover if you're earning £479 I don't think its worht it - others may disagree I don't know. But to me if you lost your job (what is your job anyway? part time. full time?) you could probably get another one earning that much with little problems. So cancel job cover. Check out moneysupermarket for a loan thats cheaper than what you have - if you really don't have any penalty for paying your own off early.

how are you surviving at the minute if your outgoings are more than your income.?

can you get another job evenings/weekends etc?

i need to do a bit of rsearch on you cc situation and see if I can come up with something - maybe someone else will post with some instant pearls of wisdom. You have too many cards for a start but I need to have a think about that.

Post ALL the cards you have whether there are balances on them, interest rates, deals available, you minimum payment each month etc. Also post your other outgoings i.e. rent, other bills, food etc. and we'll see what we come up with - the more info we have the better.

    - home insurance + some job insurance that i am paying with my natwest loan cannot be taken off now. i tried my luck 5 months back but they said you can pay off the loan and then re-apply without the insurance +job cover.
    - my job is..support worker Mental health NHS
    - on my natwest loan i do not have a penalty for earlier payment + i will not get 1 single loan from anywhere. yes i do get but they offer 16 or 17% apr loans.
    - i can get a job or probably do overtimes but this way my wife credits go down (as she looks after all the bills)
    - no i am not surviving right now since my outgoings are more than income.like i said to pay my BT bill (which is direct debit) i try my luck every 3 months if they can take the payment by my credit card. But they say NO>
    - all other details following mate...

    - yes mate, i drive, i did not count the insurance money. CHEAPEST insurance i found last month was £389/year
    - yes i have deal on my mobile and i try my hard to use my mobile to use my free minutes etc.
    - yes i do have landline. BT
    - public transport, yes, defi it would be cheaper, but staying here since 3 yrs i know areas not more than 2-3 miles square mile
    - i am not a student.living with my lovely wife who cpays all the bills. we have a son 6 months old. All what she gets is used up on bills, food, and all others.
    - i can only do with a landline but as we all know how important a mobile is specially a person who drives. anything can happen, atleast i can inform my wife and call her for rescue or something like that, you see.

    - gas, electricity and ALLL other expenses my wife looks after
    - £50 that i spend on bits and pieces cover clothing, maybe a t-shirt and a trouser a month, a drink a month, thought in 3 years i have NEVER been to a pub, i dont know what a pub looks like.
    - the 3 items where jewellery, expensive jewellery which was purchased at 100% price and sold at 35% of the cost i paid for them
    - YES, you are right, very right ! i got that jewelley thinking i would sell on ebay but didnt work. people rather pay £1200 to someone else then pay £800 to me for a better quality, far better + i sold less then the cost coz i had billing hiking up, ebay fees etc.
    - car can be sold (£1000) byt i feel not, as its a must in the household where you hav kids. anything can happen anytime.

Thank you for your support so so much but i know the answer which i will get from each and every of you.

    - the £300 room rent is infact the maitenance of my mom, dad, sister abroad. now this is a VERY VERY must for me and them as we all know in this part of the world we have the govt. to support you by either tex credits or whatever...BUT in the rest of the world this dont happen, you have money you live, if you dont have money, beg borrow or steal.

i know none of you might understanding my situation as, ONLY the person in pain knows what pain is like.
