The price of chocolate

Hi Guys,

Just a quickie I was amazed yesterday to see the price of the 150g bar of milky bar. Last week when I bought some to make some chocolate fudge for Fathers Day pressie it was 98p in Tescos Express. Yesterday when I went for a wander at lunch time, only a wander as it was a much needed NSD spotted that its now a whopping £1.52

Thats a 50% increase in 5 days:confused:

I was just discussing ludicrous price rises yesterday with my dad. Not as quick an increase, but last year Netto's wholemeal bread was 37p, now 8 months later its 67p. Nearly a 100% increase in less than a year!

  • Would normally buy value, but just popped down to the express for one thing to make this pressie, they don't sell value in the express. Am interested to see if it is as expensive in the real Mr T....

I think Tesco are taking the P*ss, I mean I know there is a short shortage, hence the rising food cost but I bet any money there will be more shortage in their annual profits.
