    hi,
anyone know what tesco's return's policy is? I got some lamps about 4 weeks ago before the big reduction, unused yet - can I return for a refund and get them again at the lower price? thanks!

You should not have a problem if you bought them less than 28 days ago and still have the receipt. I bought 2 boxes of the stainless steel marker lights on Saturday @ £15 each. Having seen this thread yesterday, I bought the last 2 they had. I took them back this morning, using Saturday's receipt. I then bought them back again at £4.50 each.

If it was more than 28 days I am unsure as to Tesco policy.

Checked my local Tesco (Lewisham) and the bollards and spots are out of stock, staff didn't know if they were getting more (though this could be the usual apathetic answer).

This is a clearance of "seasonal" items which are bulk ordered from China, so when they're gone, they ARE gone.

Thanks to OP I expected plastic items but the spots are aluminium and the posts steel, well chuffed.
They are disappearing rapidly, so grabbit.

The 3 spot lights are attached to the solar panel by a cable.

There looks to be about 3 metres of cable from each spot light to the solar panel.
Just a word for the techies. These are excellent value for experimenters, just for the bits alone.
There are 3 very bright white LEDs per lamp.

The ground spikes on these are also aluminium.

The solar charger contains SIX Nimh 600mAh re-chargeables ( 2 per lamp, admittedly poor capacity but ok for lights), so the solar cell must output more than 7.2 Volts. Guess 2 in series would charge a car battery eventually.
Would be interesting to see how long 2500mAh batteries would last when charged on a bright sunny day.

Thanks for this, I am made up, got £120 worth of lights for my mum's b'day for £30.

I got the rock lights for £20 (s/be £40) and the twin silver solar led lights for £2.25 (s/be £20).

The quality seems ok to me!!!!

Thanks again, my mum is well pleased!!!

Thanks op arrived yesterday great stuff!!! Just one question we arranged our lights in the garden excitedly then waited till dark and rushed out expectantly but no glow. So what did we do wrong??? Do we need to remove the plastic covering over the top before it will work? Doesn't seem to say or do we just need to wait for a longer charge?

We haven't removed or changed anything but the BIG question is do we need to? Ta guys
