Is there a time limit for responses to full and final settlement letters? Just wondering how long I give them to respond.

whats is the difference between partial settlement and satisfied...

I thought if you went Full and Final it will always be partial satisfied but the rest of debt is unenforcable.

Ah, now that's what i thought - apparently even though the creditor says "we will not chase the remaining amount" there is nothing stopping them from selling the debt on to another 3rd party - thus resulting in the lovely merry go round starting all over again - do not accept if you are offered this.

Hi, I'm not sure if there is any time limit, from personal experience I sent a letter on 2nd June, still no reply, then sent another reminder last week and as yet still no reply. Might be worth sending a reminder to them, if they don't respond in say 2-3 weeks, but I sure someone with further knowledge will correct me on that.

that's providing that they accept Full and Final, some don't though, I think it may depend on who the creditor is.
