my daughter is a lone parent (no help at all from ex)she has debts of 8,000-12,ooo and gets only income support and child benefit,all the debts are in her name only,how much do you have to owe to go bankrupt?thanks.

I don't think there's any minimum if she wants to petition for her own bankruptcy. And, on income support, she'll probably pay a much lower fee.
Does she own her own home or rent?
Read this for an outline of bankruptcy ... the process, the results etc.
