Tesco store ploicy

Hi everyone, gosh what an excellent site! I am new to the site and I am finding it all a little confusing, does anyone have a copy of Tescos store policy on accepting vouchers as I am a little frightened about handing over a wad of vouchers for money off products I haven't even bought and I would like to be able to back myself up :) do I just literally hand them the vouchers and just get money off my shopping even if I havent bought the products I have vouchers for? Any guidance would be much appreciated!

Many Thanks, Amy x

With regard to the above, I asked yesterday at the Strood store, and that is exactly what the assistant said- only one coupon if the item is not purchased, and the item must be stocked by the store.

To be honest it's getting more and more varied from the head office policy, each store is following a different part of the policy at the store managers' discretion (can't spell that!!). Either try handing a couple of small value ones into a cashier and casually ask what the policy is or be bold and just go and ask at the customer service desk, at least then you'll know!

Thanks for the info, this has already been reported on other forums as well.

I understand it's a store-specific knee-jerk reaction to just one 'jerk' who tried to pay for a large item with a batch of printables (they must have been duplicates surely as there aren't that many printables known at the moment on here)?

I can understand one store needing to crack down if customers are taking the mickey with duplicates or unredeemable coupons.

But the really daft thing is that it's been reported that cashiers in your store are saying no even if the customer has bought the right item?

If so then your Managers should expect imminent contact from Couponnet, as customers will soon report the refusal online. Also those customers will just trot off to another Tesco (or Waitrose or Asda who also accept some coupons off shopping).

Wouldn't it be better to calm down & just say 'one printable coupon per transaction unless the customer is buying the product'?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
