frozen onion rings ood can i still use them??

Just found some frozen onion rings in the freezer, out of date Feb 08 is it safe to use them??

They've not been opened at all.

    Personally I would use them but I would make sure they were well cooked, and once cooked smell them, an odd smells and I would be putting them in the bin.
