  • Well IF wiki is correct (and check this elsewhere so they might be right) it never actually reached no'1.

Agadoo" was a Novelty song recorded by the band Black Lace in 1984. It was a cover of Patrick Zab!'s 1974 French hit "Agadou". "Agadoo" peaked at number 2 in the UK singles chart and spent 30 weeks in the UK Top 75.
The original song was played in a Derby nightclub, 'Gossips', to which the bar staff made a dance. It proved so popular that when Black Lace performed at the club in 1981, they learnt the dance and recorded their own version. This was verified on Radio Derby in 2006.
The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(

ooh yes-I still go and see him whenever he tours! Last year I saw his Dylanesque tour-at Tower of London in the pouring rain. We picniced on champers etc with loads of other nutcases and then all sat in puddles in the pouring rain to watch the show-I have never been so wet with clothes on,but it was great!
Going to see Eric Clapton and Sheryl Crow at Hyde park next weekend-ooh yes,the oldies and the goodies for me! Tickets were bought before my current cash crisis luckily!
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!
