Superdrug and Philips men's Shaver "offer"

On passing my local Superdrug at the weekend I saw advertised in the window a Philips men's shaver that looked ideal - and it was half price. Indeed compared to Amazon it was about £11 cheaper. Today (Monday 16th June 2008) when I went to buy one I was advised they were all sold out - but they still have the adverts in the window of their stores advertising it ! I do hate this sort of marketing - there is no way on knowing how many of this item each store had but its the oldest trick in the book. Avoid.

Annoying when that happens. Just ordered a cheaper Remington from Tesco, if that is any help -- http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=11763765#post117637650
