But that is not an automatic process using combined postage rules as we currently have, and besides, to send a money transfer back to the buyer costs them fees of 3.4% + 20p. I am using a business paypal account so even after the paypal T&C's change in July, it would still cost the buyer to receive a refund in the future.
Also, I would be receiving multiple payments, each one of them costing me 20p + 2.9% (my current merchant rate), rather than one transaction with a 20p and 2.9% fee.
If I increased my P&P rate or BIN price by 25p per item to offset this, then I'm pretty certain it would have a negative effect on my sales, and my current margins are squeezed enough without having to compensate for an ebay/paypal operational oversight.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0
