Hi all
Following on from an earlier thread of mine.
Apart from tax Credits ,is there a central office I can contact where I can find out exactly what benefits we would be entitled to claim if my wife has to give up work to look after the kids..?
Thanks

Using the calculator at ENTITLEDTO will enable you to see what benefits you are entitled to now with your current income and then if you put in the figures for your income/rent/council tax etc on the assumption your wife isn't working what your entitlements will be then.
Any Welfare rights office will be able to give you a "Better off" calculation which will list your entitlements. Most local DWP offices will also talk you through your benefit entitlements should you phone them to ask.
The is also the BENEFIT ENQUIRY LINE for the disabled which may be willing to talk you through your entitlements 0800 88 22 00My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program
