I think you have got the wrong end of the stick here. I certainly never meant to imply that we cannot prove our income. In fact, we have furnished our broker with our full trading accounts and details of all our income and this is the deal that he has come up for with us. As far as I am concerned he has provided these details to the Woolwich today as part of our application.

I always choose to use a broker because I appreciate their knowledge of the market and because I trust their expertise in finding the right deal. He always calls me up when our deal is shortly to expire and then does all the legwork for us. I understand that these are very strange times with direct deals being cheaper, but I really would not have the heart to tell him that I will no longer require his services.

He has spent six hours today trying to get this application through to the Woolwich without charge to us. He has saved us many pounds over the years getting the best deals and has supported us through various house moves, arranging life insurance, income protection etc.

I suppose I was a little silly to post this morning. He certainly came up trumps and once he realised the deal was to be pulled he pulled out all the stops. But there again, these are very strange times and I guess the stress got to me.
