I currently qualify for 100% tax rebate under the UK seamans tax scheme, I live in the UK but am considering becoming a french resident, any idea how the system works if I live in France? Can't find info on this anywhere pls help.

The 100% deduction is unique to UK seafarers (the Spice Girls abolished the relief for everyone else). France would tax you on worldwide income I expect.
  • Thanks for your reply but I was after fact not guess work or expectations.
I have heard somewhere that french seamen get something similar to UK seamen. some one here must know something
